Estherville, IA -- After losing their first three matches in a three-day trip to northwest Iowa, the Indian Hills Warriors came away with two victories on Saturday, defeating Independence (KS) CC in three straight sets and Casper (WY) CC in a four-set match.
All three sets with Independence were close with the Warriors taking the first one, 25-22, and the third set, 26-24.
Emily Eswonia had a spectacular serving match with 20 ace serves to lead the Warriors. Courtney Blohm had 31 assists and Erin Mosinski a team-high eight kills.
Indian Hills got contributions up and down the lineup in the match with Casper. Kelsey Wagner had 11 kills, Eswonia 17 digs, and Mosinski eight blocks. Jessi Black had three ace serves as the Warriors improved to 6-4 on the season.
Indian Hills will host Kirkwood CC at the Tom Arnold Net Center at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night and will head to Rochester, Minnesota for a tournament next weekend.
